*** A MESSAGE FROM THE BIG LEAF BASKETBALL LEAGUE ****

Coaches and Directors,

We hope everyone has had a happy and healthy summer and look forward to getting back on the hardwood this fall and winter.  We anticipate having hurdles along the way with Covid at the forefront of our communities and society in general.   Big Leaf is prepared to work with venues, coaches and directors by striving to ensure safety, respect and cooperation in our basketball community. 

We are several weeks away from our venues committing to their initial Covid policies.  We foresee a similar landscape to last season regarding Covid policies and will constantly keep everyone informed regarding those policies and changes that may occur. 

Big Leaf has added many new and former venues to the fold this year.  As in pre-Covid years, one of our main initiatives is to keep teams as close to home as often as possible.  However we will be using  The Edge, Force and Spire as regional hubs and if we suddenly lose a series of venues we can operate the same as last year where we can schedule the games but teams would be asked to travel longer distances. 

Big Leaf is returning all of their staff for the 21-22 season.  Most importantly Matt Hill will be manning the  monstrosity of a schedule and Dan Goff is back to assign our officials.  We have added a social media coordinator Aimee Kremser. Aimee will be handling all of our social media platforms,  building and maintaining our website Bigleafsports.com and constructing a weekly newsletter. 

Our league and tournament schedules have now been released. We have added some new events that we are very excited about.  We also will be offering  a discount opportunity to the teams and programs that pay on time, consistently follow  registration protocols etc..   Feel free to reach out to us in the coming weeks with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the league and how your team or program qualifies for our discounts.   

Finally, we look forward to providing your community and the children with a program we can all be proud of.
