Big Leaf Sports is proud to present the fourth annual President’s Day Elementary School Shootout. Players were nominated by their coaches to participate in these games, which will feature the top talent from the Big Leaf region.

Additionally, Big Leaf Basketball uses this event as a fundraiser for a local family in need. This year’s recipient is Adam Hess of Kirtland. Adam was a standout football player on two of Kirtland High School’s state championship teams in 2011 and 2013. Upon graduation, Adam head  to The Ohio State University. on June 28, 2019, Adam suffered a significant spinal cord injury when he dove into a pool. As a result, Adam remains  paralyzed from the waist down. Adam has an amazing will and has worked extremely hard in his rehab. The costs to the Hess family has been significant. This Big Leaf Basketball President’s Day Shootout will have all proceeds go directly to Adam and his family.
